Old: Alrighty, so I want to contribute to the production of 's online game based on her comic, the BBA. Since I'm just about done with my current commission queue, I've decided to take character sheet commissions of canine characters with 100% of the proceeds donated to the development of the BBA game! Hopefully this will encourage some more donors and help fund the programming.

To do this, I'll be taking only character sheet commissions of canine or near-canine characters (most efficient for me to do.) Wings and other special attachments are O.K. but are priced accordingly. You can choose between shaded or unshaded character sheets. Stated prices are minimums, but typical if the character is a pure canine with no extra stuff like wings, etc.

Unshaded, full-body sheet: $14.

If smooth lineart like the above examples isn't a priority, I can do sketch lines instead: $10-12 for unshaded, $13-14 for shading.

Unshaded would make the markings much clearer.

If you wish for a more complex sheet with a sketch for lines instead of actual lineart, I can do something like Ira's ( [link] ) for $10-12 for the full-body, colored part and $2-3 for each additional uncolored headshot.

I'll be accepting up to 10 for now, and if I receive enough orders, probably more. I'm still accepting normal commissions for those of you who've contacted me before this about having other pictures done, so no worries.

Okay, first of all, this took forever to judge. I was overwhelmed by the response to my contest and really happy about every single entry I got. My first round picked about half of the entries.. second time whittled down to 9.. it took me three difficult eliminations to get down to the top five. I can't imagine having to choose a top 3. O.o;

Rightio. I'm sure you're all on the edges of your seats now. *i wish* Now, without further ado...

Fifth Place goes to by ! The amount of detail in the fur really blew me away.

Fourth Place goes to by ! Their expressions and the emotions conveyed in this picture are just awesome. I really like this a lot. :3

Third Place goes to... by ! The expressions and semi-realism really make this! It's so cool to see my characters in that style.

Second Place goes to... by ! This has been one of my favorites right from the getgo - everything about it I just love. <33 You really captured Ire wonderfully, and the background fits the characters very well.

Alright, this one was a bit unexpected for me. I loved it as soon as I saw it, but only after studying it in the judging process did it really reveal it's inner sweetness. Terra really is my favorite character, and there were a ton of Terra pictures to try to judge somewhat impartially from that, but I consistantly leaned towards those that reflected her painful past and inner struggle. It's really amazing to me how much you guys have gleaned from the comic thus far and from my concept art of Terra and her family! It makes me inspired to continue the comic.

Aheh, anyways.. First Place goes to by ! Congratulations, and to everyone!

I loved every entry. Let me reiterate one more time how hard it was to select a top five. Okay, so I kind of need money to go to Vermont this summer. D: And seeing as I haven't been able to land a job yet and I enjoy drawing, I'd like to open commissions. However, the issue is whether people would commission me for a price that is at least minimum wage.

So my pricing would look something like this: (keep in mind that I am fairly flexible - if you have questions about pricing, feel free to send me a note and I'll see what I can do!)

Headshot: Full colored and shaded: $6-8
Sketch: I would probably not be taking sketch commissions.
Lineart: $6-$10, depending on character.
Flat colored character sheet: (like all the KE char sheets, without shading or text except the name) $10-$15, depending on character.
Full colored character w/ solid-color or gradient background: (this would be like [link] ) $15-$20, depending on character. It could also be turned into a character sheet (like all the KE char sheets) at no additional charge.
Full colored picture w/ quick (< 1 hour) background: $20-30, $5ish each additional character.
Full colored picture w/ full background: $30-$40, $5ish each additional character.

I've been thinking.. I've seen contests being held all over the place and thought that it would be cool to do that as well. Not usually being a bandwagon person, this is gonna be a new thing for me. And this will make a good 50k pageview celebration-type thingermabob.

The Task: Draw one or more characters from the Knife's Edge comic. It can be anything, a fight, a stroll on the beach, whatever you feel like drawing, with KE chars. Backgrounds are not required, but highly suggested!

The drawing must be your own, original artwork - please do not use any of my templates or templates from other artists. Anyone who enters with stolen art will be disqualified, and possibly reported to dA staff! We artists are not fans of thieves.

You can enter as many pictures as you like, if you feel that it will give you a higher chance of winning, but can only win once and/or get one mini-prize.

The Prizes: I'll be picking the top five entries to receive a custom prize. Everybody, including the five winners, will get a mini-prize just for taking part (I haven't yet decided what this will be, but I'm thinking that it will be a small, headshot template with everyone's chars - similar to those christmas gifts that people were passing around last month.) All I ask (for you to qualify for the mini-prize) is that you put some effort into the pic. I reserve the right to not give out mini-prizes to quickie, 5 minute sketches, etc. For the mini-prize template, I will be doing a canine headshot, so if your character is not a wolf or a dog, they will be turned into wolves for this purpose.

1st place: A color picture of up to two characters with a full background.
Example: (only.. better than that ._. )

2nd place: A color picture of one character with a speedy background ( less than 1 hour ) Example:

3rd place: A color picture of one character with a solid color/simple background. Example:

4th: An uncolored lineart of one of your characters. Example (only without the shading) :

5th: An uncolored sketch of one of your characters. Don't have an example uploaded. o.o

How to Enter: Draw your picture. Upload it to your dA and send the link to me in a note, as well as what character you would like as your mini-prize. Including the character you want colored is absolutely necessary for me to be able to start doing them in advance. There's no way I'm doing all those at the same time.

Deadline: March 31st! Getcher entries in.

Accepted Mediums: Any medium is fine, so long as we can see it here on dA. ^^

But do any of you guys play Battlefield 2: Rogue Battalions? Because someone on there recognized me from somewhere.. O.o and there's no way to chat on the game (my main problem with it <.< ) so I can't ask them how they know me. Their username was xlaserx7 or something.. so if they see this.. xD;
